October 16, 2026 "MY PACE IS FORWARD"
I recently watched a blind runner cross the finish line of the Chicago Marathon with a guide beside him. As he crossed, he shared a powerful message that stayed with me: “My pace is forward.”
For 26.2 miles, he couldn’t see the course. He had to trust his guide...step by step, mile by mile, to help him navigate each step toward the finish line. That kind of trust, courage, and communication is the same energy we bring into our fitness journey.
At TFC, your trainers are your guides. You may not always see how far you have to go or how fast you’ll get there, but you can choose to keep moving forward. Trust the process. Trust your coach. Take the next step.
Our trainers are here to help you make progress safely and consistently. Sometimes we want to do our own thing because we believe we know what will get us results. However, listening to your trainer and staying open to guidance even when the work feels challenging or different from what you might choose on your own, will help you reach all you goals and more.
Your pace is forward. Trust your guide. Keep taking the next step.
Don’t wait for someone else to start
Recently, I’ve talked with people who were hesitant to start Boot Camp unless a friend, partner, or family member signed up with them. A workout buddy is great but your goals don’t’ have to wait for anyone’s schedule or motivation.
Start for you.
Stay for you.
Support others, but don’t pause your progress because someone paused theirs.
Your pace is forward - even if you’re taking the first step alone.
Keep moving through the season
This time of year, it can be tempting to settle into the comfort of home. Shorter days, busy schedules, holiday plans and end-of-year responsibilities make it easy to put our health goals on pause.
But at TFC, we’re choosing to keep moving forward.
Boot Camp 6 is the final six-week camp of the year. It’s a chance to build strength, reset healthy habits, and finish the year with intention. You don’t have to wait for January or the “perfect” moment. Start where you are with the next workout, the next healthy choice, and the next step.
You may be returning after time away, finding your rhythm as a new Boot Camper, or a seasoned camper working toward a goal you’ve had for a while. Wherever you’re starting, your pace is your own.
Some days you’ll move fast. Some days you’ll move slow. Every step counts.
This is our pace: forward
For the next six weeks, let’s trust our trainers, encourage each another, and celebrate progress big or small. You don’t have to be first. You just have to keep going.
This is our final Boot Camp of the year. Let’s show up for ourselves, support one another, and finish strong.
My pace is forward. Your pace is forward. At TFC, we move forward - together and that's NO MESS!
