"DON'T LET FALL MAKE YOU FALL OFF!"

September 18, 2026   "DON'T LET FALL MAKE YOU FALL OFF!"

Okay, y'all…

I know what time of year it is because the leaves aren't the only things starting to fall.

Gym attendance starts falling too! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Every year around this time, those cancellation notices start creeping in.

"It's football season."
"The kids are back in school."
"It's getting cold."
"The holidays are coming."
"I'll be back in January."

JANUARY?!

Baby, it is SEPTEMBER!

What are we doing for the next four months?!

 WE ARE NOT BEARS!

I need y'all to understand something:

Human beings do NOT have a hibernation season!

We don't need to eat our way through September, October, November and December, curl up on the couch and emerge January 1st talking about:

"NEW YEAR, NEW ME!"

How about…

SAME ME. STILL WORKING OUT.

Now THAT'S a resolution!

AND LET'S TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL SEASON...

Because this one really tickles me.

We will sit on the couch for THREE HOURS watching athletes run up and down a football field…

While we're eating wings, nachos and dip yelling:

"RUNNNNNNN!!!"

Ma'am.

Sir.

When was the last time YOU ran?

We're screaming:

"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"

At the television…

Meanwhile, our watches are saying:

"You have 327 steps today."

And here's the part that really gets me:

Those football players trained ALL YEAR to get ready for the season.

They lift weights.

They run.

They condition.

They stretch.

They practice.

They recover.

They watch their nutrition.

And once football season starts…

THEY KEEP TRAINING!

So why did THEIR season become OUR excuse to stop

Make it make sense!

YOUR BODY DOESN'T KNOW IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON

Your blood pressure doesn't say:

"Oh, it's Falcons season. I'll check back in January."

Your blood sugar doesn't take Thanksgiving through Christmas off.

Your heart doesn't know you're busy shopping.

And unfortunately, health conditions don't take a holiday vacation.

This is especially important in our Black community.

Nearly 6 out of 10 non-Hispanic Black adults have high blood pressure, according to CDC data. Black adults also experience a disproportionate burden from diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

So while we can laugh and have fun with this message, our health is serious business.

The goal isn't to be afraid of the statistics.

The goal is to CHANGE them.

 AND YES…ENJOY YOUR LIFE!

Please enjoy the game.

Enjoy your wings.

Enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

Eat Grandma's macaroni and cheese.

Have some sweet potato pie.

I'm not coming to your house to slap the fork out of your hand!

But MOVE YOUR BODY TOO!

Fitness doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Can't come five days? Come three.

Can't stay an hour? Give me 30 minutes.

Traveling? Walk.

Busy? Schedule your workouts like appointments.

Cold outside? Guess what?

THE GYM HAS HEAT!

There is always a way.

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› THIS FALL, LET'S TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Instead of:

September  "I'm getting busy."

October  "I'll start back soon."

November  "Well, Thanksgiving is coming."

December  "At this point, I'll just wait until January."

Let's try:

September  I'M STILL HERE.

October  STILL HERE.

November  STILL HERE.

December  BABY, I'M STILL HERE!

And when January comes, instead of crawling back into Tadda's Fitness saying:

"Tadda, don't say nothing…"

You can walk through that door PROUD because you never left!

YOUR HEALTH DOESN'T HAVE AN OFF-SEASON.

The football players are training.

So are we.

The leaves can fall.

The temperature can fall.

The Falcons can…well, I'm not even going there.

BUT WE ARE NOT FALLING OFF!

Keep showing up.

Keep moving.

Keep taking care of YOU.

Be proactive, not reactive.

And you already know how we do it at Tadda's Fitness:

WE MAKE A WAY, NOT EXCUSES, NO MESS!

P.S. If you're thinking about sending me that cancellation notice…

Don't do it!

Put your gym clothes on and I'll see you at TFC!
