August 14, 2026  "SOMETIMES A LITTLE CHANGE IS NECESSARY"

18 Years of Tadda’s Fitness — Evolving, Improving & Still TFC

As we prepare to celebrate our 18th Anniversary Boot Camp, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting. And something as simple as updating our Tadda’s Fitness logo reminded me of an important lesson:

Sometimes we don’t need to change everything… but we do need to change something.

For years, someone very special to TFC has handled so many of our award giveaways, T-shirts, promotional items and all the little things that help bring our brand to life. And every time she worked with our logo, a few things bothered her.

First the people didn’t quite look like "us".
“The girl needs a ponytail!”
And if you looked closely, part of the man leg were missing!

They were little things. Things many of us probably never noticed.

But here’s the funny part—she was nervous to even bring it up to me!

She thought I might be too tied to the old logo. After all, it had been with me and Tadda’s Fitness for nearly 18 years. It represented our history, our growth and so many memories. She wasn’t sure if I would be open to changing something that had become such a recognizable part of TFC.

What she didn’t know was that I was SUPER EXCITED about the change!

After 18 years, I was ready for something new, fresh and updated. I didn’t want to lose who we were or forget where we came from, I just knew there was nothing wrong with refreshing what we already had.

Sometimes you don’t realize you’re ready for a change until someone gives you permission to see the possibilities.

And once I saw the updated logo, I thought, YES! This is still us—just refreshed!

She wasn’t trying to erase our history.

She simply wanted to clean it up, strengthen it and make it better.

And THAT made me think about fitness.

Sometimes We Get Too Tied to the OLD

Just like she thought I might be too attached to our old logo, sometimes we become too attached to our old workouts, old diets, old routines and old ways of doing things.

“This is the workout I’ve always done.”
“This is how I’ve always eaten.”
“Walking used to work for me.”
“I lost weight doing this 10 years ago.”

And maybe it DID work for the body you had then.

But your body is evolving and changing every day.

Your metabolism changes.
Your hormones change.
Your muscle mass changes.
Your mobility changes.
Your recovery changes.
Your nutritional needs can change.

So why are we sometimes afraid to change with it?

Why not try something new? Why not give yourself permission to experience something fresh?

Maybe it’s time to pick up the weights.
Maybe it’s time to try Pilates, yoga or mobility work.
Maybe it’s time to increase your protein.
Maybe it’s time to stop doing hours of cardio and start building muscle.
Maybe it’s time to get your labs checked and understand what’s happening inside your body.

You don’t have to throw away everything that worked before.

Keep what works. Update what doesn’t. And don’t be afraid to get excited about something NEW!

You Don’t Have to Change Everything

One of the biggest reasons people avoid starting—or restarting—a fitness journey is because they think they have to completely change their lives overnight.

No more favorite foods.
Work out every single day.
Lose 30 pounds immediately.
Give up everything they enjoy.
Become a completely different person.

NO!

Sometimes the biggest transformations begin with the smallest changes.

Drink a little more water.
Add another serving of vegetables.
Walk 15 minutes longer.
Pick up a slightly heavier weight.
Get to bed a little earlier.
Come to one more class this week.
Replace one unhealthy meal with a healthier one.
Schedule the physical you’ve been putting off.
Know your numbers—blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, body fat and muscle mass.

None of those changes seem huge by themselves.

But when you make them consistently, little changes become BIG results.

Don’t Be Afraid to Update Yourself

Our old logo wasn’t bad.

It carried us for 18 years.

It represented countless workouts, pounds lost, friendships made, lives changed and memories created.

But just because something worked before doesn’t mean there isn’t room to improve it.

The same is true for YOU.

Maybe what you did in your 20s doesn’t work for your body in your 40s, 50s or 60s.

Maybe walking was enough before, but now you need strength training.

Maybe you’ve focused on the scale, but now it’s time to focus on building muscle, improving mobility, lowering body fat and protecting your heart.

Maybe you don’t need a completely new lifestyle.

Maybe you just need an updated version of the one you already have.

That’s what this new logo represents to me as we enter our 18th year:

Same foundation.Same mission.Same TFC family.Just stronger, cleaner, fresher and better.

And that’s exactly what I want you to think about as we begin this next Boot Camp.

What is ONE small thing you can change over the next six weeks?

Don’t try to change everything.

Find the ponytail. Fix the leg.

Clean up what needs cleaning up.
Strengthen what needs strengthening.
Try something new.
Keep what already works.

Because after 18 years in fitness, one thing I know for sure is this:

You don’t have to become a different person to become a healthier person.

You just have to be willing to keep improving the person you already are.

18 YEARS STRONG — AND WE’RE STILL EVOLVING.
