January 23, 2026 "Love on Your Failures!"
We’ve reached Week 3 of Boot Camp - the midpoint. And if we’re being real, this is usually the toughest week.
The excitement has faded.
Your body is sore.
Life starts lifing again.
This week, while checking one of my client’s journals, I read something that stopped me in my tracks:
“This past week was hard.
Hard because I’m afraid to fail at my goals, so I don’t attempt.
If you never give your all, you can’t be too disappointed.
I’m scared of failing again after I gave my all.
I used life as an excuse to not show up this past week.
This week, I will do better.”
That’s honesty.
And honesty is where real growth begins.
❤️ Love Your Way Through the Failures
I came across a quote recently:
“Love your way through the failures.”
And it hit me because that’s exactly what growth requires.
Every successful person you admire has failed - repeatedly.
In my 18 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve had ideas flop. I’ve had seasons where I couldn’t even pay myself because my priority was making sure my staff and bills were covered.
But I never quit.
Those moments weren’t failures - they were adjustments.
Opportunities to pivot, regroup, and rise stronger.
💪 Fitness Teaches the Same Lesson
There are exercises I couldn’t do at first.
Movements that demanded patience.
Skills I had to practice over and over before they finally clicked.
I didn’t stop because I failed.
I kept going until I improved.
Failure isn’t a setback – it’s a stepping stone.
It makes the success that follows even sweeter.
⚖️ One of My Biggest Boot Camp Frustrations (Real Talk)
Around this time, my biggest frustration shows up during PT tests and Fit3D body scans.
When the scale doesn’t move, some people stop showing up.
And many men skip the PT test - not because they can’t do it, but because they’re afraid of not doing better than before.
But avoiding the test doesn’t protect you it delays your progress.
📈 Showing Up Is the Win
The more you show up for yourself, the better you get.
Progress is so much bigger than pounds.
Sometimes progress looks like:
- Clothes fitting differently
- Improved endurance
- Faster recovery
- Increased strength
- Confidence
- Walking through the door on a hard day
🧠 Nurse-Approved Perspective
Step off the scale for a moment.
Tune in to your body.
PT tests and Fit3D scans aren’t judgments they’re data.
They help us adjust the plan so you can move forward safely and effectively.
🎉 Celebrate What the Scale Can’t Measure
Be proud of your effort.
Be proud of your consistency.
Be proud of your non-scale victories.
If last week wasn’t your best, love your way through it.
Learn from it.
Then show up again.
You’re not behind. You’re building! And I’m already proud of you.
No Mess. 💜
