"PUT ME IN THE GAME!"

January 16, 2026 "Put Me In The Game!"

We’ve officially wrapped up Week 2 of Boot Camp, and this is an important moment in the journey.

Why?

Because the second Friday of January is known as National Quit Day the day when most people abandon their New Year’s goals.
And if we’re being real…some folks already have.

Life gets busy.

Motivation fades.

Muscles ache.

Results take time.

And that’s usually when people convince themselves it’s “not the right time.”

But here’s the truth I want everyone to hear especially those who may have stepped away or are watching from the sidelines:

Not feeling like it is normal. Quitting is optional.

People assume that because I love fitness, I’m always excited to train.  I can say definitively “Absolutely not!” I get tired. I get overwhelmed. My schedule gets packed just like yours.

This week I had a few of those days.

My energy was low, my plates was full, but I still walked into my training session and said,

“Put me in the game, Coach.”

And he did.

No sympathy. No soft landing. No “I know your busy.” Because when you say put me in the game, you’re saying I’m here to work.

That mindset is what carries you through National Quit Day, Week 2 soreness, and every moment when motivation disappears.

Words to Carry You Forward 🧠✨

  • You are not behind...you are building
  • Consistency beats intensity every single time
  • Discipline will take you places motivation never will
  • Every workout is a promise kept to yourself
  • Hard doesn’t mean wrong it means effective
  • You don’t have to win the day, just show up for it
  • If you came in tired and left proud that counts.

This Is Where Separation Happens

By Week 2:

  • The New Year hype fades
  • Discipline gets tested
  • Excuses get louder
  • Real habits start forming

Most people stop here.

But those who keep showing up even when it’s uncomfortable are the ones who transform.

What Happens When You Keep Training 👀🔥

Stay consistent and watch what unfolds:

  • Your body starts responding (strength, endurance, stamina)
  • Workouts still feel hard, but less shocking
  • Clothes begin to fit differently
  • Energy improves outside the gym
  • Confidence grows because you’re doing something hard
  • Your mindset shifts from “Can I?” to “I will.”

In the next few weeks:

  • Runs feel smoother
  • Recovery improves
  • Form sharpens
  • Self- belief grows

This is the phase where results stack quietly before they show loudly.

To Those Who’ve Stepped Away

If you’ve missed a few days…

If you feel like you “fell off”…

If you’re thinking it’s too late…

Hear me clearly: it’s not.

Progress doesn’t require perfection it requires persistence.

And to those watching from the outside of our gym, wondering if you can stay consistent this year remember this:

You don’t have to feel ready to be committed.

You just have to show up.

Final Thought

National Quit Day doesn’t mean you have to quit.

It’s simply the moment where you decide who you are when it gets hard.

So whether you’re still here, thinking about returning, or just getting started tell yourself what I told my coach:

Put me in the game.

And once you’re in...

WORK!

Week 2 is complete.

Week 3 is loading.

Let’s keep going... I DON'T WANT NO MESS!💪🏾
