March 7, 2025 "FIT FUN for Everyone!"
Fitness should always be fun! As we kick off our first week back to bootcamp, I’m thrilled to welcome new and returning members. It’s my birthday bootcamp, and I’m beyond ready to dive into some fitness fun!
At Tadda’s Fitness Center, my trainers and I dedicate time to creating workouts that are effective and enjoyable. We focus on building core strength, toning muscles, and boosting endurance, all while keeping things entertaining. My passion for working out drives me to make fitness fun, and I want everyone to share in that excitement.
Recently, a potential client asked me, “How much is this going to cost me?” I responded with a question of my own: “Do you wear braids?” She was caught off guard, unsure where I was going. When she told me she had braids, I asked, “How much did they cost?” After hearing her answer, I explained, “Certain braids cost more than a bootcamp—and only last a short time, while getting FIT will last a lifetime if you stay committed.”
My goal is to inspire clients to be as excited about getting in shape as they are about a new hairstyle—and to recognize the lifelong benefits of fitness. Even when you know it’s good for you, sticking to an exercise routine can feel challenging—especially if you dread your workouts. But finding ways to make exercise enjoyable increases your chances of staying consistent and motivated over time.
Here are some FUN ways to build a lasting fitness routine and actually look forward to working out:
1. Join a Bootcamp
At Tadda’s Fitness Center, you’ll find workouts tailored to your goals and a community of fit friends for life. Having workout buddies keeps you accountable—you’re less likely to skip a session when you know your friends are counting on you. Over six weeks, you’ll enjoy a variety of workouts to keep boredom at bay and maintain your enthusiasm.
2. Try Something New
Step outside your comfort zone! Explore classes you’ve never tried before, follow an online workout video, or check out a new park for walking or biking trails. Be adventurous—try water aerobics, pickleball, kayaking, or anything you’ve been curious about. The best form of exercise is the one you enjoy, so experiment until you find what works for you.
3. Pump Up the Jams
Create a workout playlist that energizes and uplifts you. Include nostalgic favorites, party anthems, or songs that make you smile. Turn up the volume during your workout and feel the boost in motivation!
4. Reward Yourself
Treat yourself after a workout to something special, like a bubble bath, a cup of coffee, or your favorite show. Long-term rewards can also keep you motivated—stay consistent for a month and reward yourself with new workout gear!
5. Join a Fitness Challenge
Get competitive with a fitness challenge! At TFC, our “Team Up to Slim Down Challenge” motivates teams to lose the most body fat, with the winning team earning $1,000. Challenges, big or small, add excitement to your workouts—like doing 10 push-ups daily with a friend and seeing who lasts the longest.
6. Involve Your Family
Incorporate kids, parents, or pets into your workouts. Chasing little ones, playing fetch, or encouraging older family members to stay active can make exercise feel less like a task and more like quality time.
7. Channel Your Inner Child
Even at 54, I still love incorporating games and fun into my fitness routine. Revisit the activities you loved as a child—ice skating, rollerblading, hula hooping, or even playing tag. Rediscovering these playful forms of exercise can rekindle your joy for movement.
