September 14, 2024 “Let me be your Quarterback!”
The football season is upon us, and it is the perfect time to get into the spirit. Time to pull out your favorite team jersey and prepare for the epic tailgate parties. Cross your fingers, with hopes your team makes it to the playoffs and of course the ultimate goal, the Superbowl.
Your fitness journey is much like that of a football season. Just like in football, having a strong support system is crucial for success in fitness. Your accountability team, with its offensive and defensive players, can make all the difference.
Among your crew there are offensive and defensive players. The defense being those that are there to defend you when you are under attack, from saboteurs and those intent on preventing you from achieving your (touchdown) goals. And then there is the offense, the players that push you to achieve those goals.
The quarterback Is the leader of the offense, directing the plays and serving as the main point of communication between the coaches and the rest of the team. As the playmaker, the quarterback must make split-second decisions, taking into account the defensive formation and adjusting plays accordingly to maximize their team’s chances of success.
When you go to the doctor, and they think you have a knee problem, your primary care physician will send you to the orthopedic. When you are having autoimmune issues they send you to a rheumatologist. You have issues with breathing/coughing they send you to a pulmonologist. You have heart issues they send you to a cardiologist. Your primary care physician is the quarterback of your health. They will send you to specialists however they are controlling which direction you go.
Let me be your quarterback when it comes to your health and fitness. I can help with split-second decisions, considering your nutrition, hydration, and condition of your body to maximize your success. Let me guide you down the field as you gain down after down to reach that goal.
As the team leader on your fitness team, it is my job to remain calm when you are anxious, to assist you in making sound decisions when it comes to your health. These abilities enable me to pass the ball to my receivers, my trainers, and staff, to provide you with the proper direction for your success, to give you the greatest chance of success. I know some of you require extra classes, run club, lift club or yoga. It’s my job to see the big picture, the full playing field, to call the plays that lead to the win.
There are two weeks left in the bootcamp I want you to achieve your Superbowl. We are in the final quarter. I don’t want you to give up and lose in the last quarter because you did not have the right team around you. So let me be your quarterback. No Mess
