Finish What You Start.

August 23, 2024 “Finish what you start.”

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of renovations in and out of that gym. One thing I love about renovating is it’s a fresh start, you can see your dreams become a reality, you can set a goal and see the end result. My personal renovations are requiring a contractor and his team. I must trust him, work with him on all decisions, do some leg work and be patient. Sounds a lot like when clients seek me for fitness renovations.

The renovations in the gym have been a team effort. Many have helped however I must give a huge shoutout and thank you to Daphne, Sharetha, and Brittany, I could not have done it without them. New lights, I don’t know if y’all remember how bad that lighting was, the new flooring…OMG we had a few potential trip hazards and lots of buckled flooring from water damage or spills. Lastly when choosing the color schemes, Daphne got me out of my comfort zone and suggested we paint the walls black. I absolutely love them; they look rich and pictures stand out more. Again, I had to trust my team, be open to suggestions and not be afraid of making changes just because I might feel uncomfortable. Again sounds a lot like when clients start their fitness renovation with me.

Another great suggestion that has made a huge impact on the clients is our big wall quote…Finish What You Start.

This week Trenton and JB started a trend that I want to keep going. They took a picture by the wall quote and when I asked JB what that meant to him, this is what he said.

Since Trenton brought him to TFC just 1 1/2 camps ago his life has changed tremendously and it’s all because he finished what he started by completing a bootcamp. Finishing the bootcamp made him start seeing other aspects of his life through to the end. He said so much so that “I was nominated as team lead for the day at my job and most times people in my position are not given that.” He also stated he has a much better relationship with his daughter’s mothers in which we communicate much more effectively. I have made a lot of new friends from the gym, and we now hang out and many came to celebrate my birthday, which meant the world to me. He said I could go on and on about all the positive changes but finishing what I started has taught me much discipline and no mess.

I challenge you to take a picture by the wall, tag, and share. Commit to the saying and watch your life change as well.

The quote "Finish what you start" means to complete a task, project, or activity that you have begun. It emphasizes the importance of perseverance, responsibility, and follow-through. It encourages individuals to see things through to the end, rather than leaving them unfinished or abandoning them halfway.

This quote can be applied to various aspects of life, such as:

- Projects at work or school

- Personal goals and dreams

- Relationships and commitments

- Learning new skills or hobbies

-Improving your health, fitness and physique

It promotes a sense of discipline, accountability, and self-respect, reminding us that starting something is just the first step, and that true accomplishment comes from seeing it through to completion. No Mess

PS. I would love for you to a picture by the wall quote, tag, share or send to me.
