“How to hydrate during the Holiday”

May 26, 2023 “How to hydrate during the Holiday”

Don’t you hate feeling like crap after a holiday weekend?  It leaves you feeling like you need more days off just to recoup.

I don’t know what your plans might be for the holiday. Traveling, cookouts, lots of adult beverages, unhealthy eating, concerts in the sun, the beach, or pools. As fun as they may be, it also throws you off your typical routine and can create some concerns regarding your health and wellness.

Most of these activities will dehydrate your body and leave you feeling drained.

Well, Fit Nurse Tadda has just the recipe you need to survive a long holiday weekend feeling hydrated and with high energy.

Let’s be proactive. Here are some things you can do BEFORE the weekend kicks off. Come to Tadda’s and enjoy.

SHOTS

  • Vitamin B12
  • Glutathione
  • L-Arginine

IV THERAPY (Many to choose from)

  • Get up & Go
  • Myer’s Cocktail

The most important thing to do is Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

(IV Therapy & Alkaline Water) available at Tadda’s Fitness.

One of the main causes of a hangover is dehydration, and drinking alcohol dehydrates you faster thanks to its diuretic effects. When your body senses that you are getting dehydrated in general, it produces a hormone called Vasopressin which reduces the need to urinate. But by drinking alcohol, the amount of Vasopressin your body can produce actually reduces, making it harder to retain fluids.

TIP: The best and quickest way to hydrate your body is IV therapy. IV therapy not only gives you lots of mineral and vitamin’s; Get this. A 1-liter IV bag of normal saline that takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour is equivalent to drinking two gallons of water.

DRINKING TIP: Stick to light colored drinks.

Dark drinks such as red wine, whiskey, or brandy, contain congeners chemicals that can enhance color, taste, and flavor but ensure the alcohol stays in your body longer, dehydrating you. Whereas, light colored or clear drinks, like white wines, light beers, or gin, don’t contain these chemicals, but can still contain high alcohol levels, so beware.

Alkaline Water contains a higher pH level than most drinking water, which is typically due to the process of ionization. It has an increasing hydrating effect through blood viscosity versus regular water. The lower blood viscosity promotes higher hydration levels, which prevents cancer and heart disease, and slows down bone loss.

Don’t have time for an IV but need a quick pick me up. Try one of our shots.

Vitamin B12- Benefits your body in impressive ways, such as by boosting your energy, increasing your metabolism, improving your memory, detoxing your liver, and helping prevent heart disease.

Glutathione is an antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals, slow the aging process and detox your body to name a few.

L-Arginine has two effects: it turns into nitric oxide and helps the body build protein.

These effects give L-arginine an array of potential benefits including:

  • supports heart health
  • improves circulation
  • reduces chest pain
  • helps build muscles
  • repairs wounds
  • improves male fertility
  • improves libido
