“Super Antioxidant Saves the Day!”

January 28, 2022 “Super Antioxidant Saves the Day!”

Although getting the Covid vaccination is important, during this ongoing pandemic, there are so many people who have had side effects from the vaccines, that it discourages others from getting vaccinated. Just think about those individuals who already have an immunocompromised system like my brother who has myasthenia gravis or one of my clients who just shared with me that she has multiple sclerosis, these folks are extremely frightened to get the vaccination. What I have to say to everyone is, have no fear help is here.

One of my close friends has a rare autoimmune disorder called mixed connective tissue disorder and over time long term steroids treatment has led her to be diagnosed with lupus. This diagnosis pushed her to become an advocate over her health, seeking out a rheumatologist who likes to take a more holistic approach. Her doctor suggested that she definitely get the covid vaccination but also suggested an important supplement that is produced naturally in our bodies, however its levels decrease as we age or if we have any immunocompromised disorders. Getting this treatment before your vaccination or booster will help to protect against the severe inflammatory response triggered by the COVID-19 vaccines. My friend has received this in IV form every time and she stated she had absolutely no side effects. After her revelations, of course, I had to do my own research.  So, I’m pleased to say this medication is GREAT for everyone and I am proud to announce that Tadda’s Fitness will be offering it in IV drip form which is suggested once a month and IM shot which is recommended for weekly injections.

I know you are on the edge of your seat wondering what this miracle supplement could be…. GLUTATHIONE.

What is Glutathione:

Glutathione is a substance made from the amino acids: glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is produced by the liver and involved in many body processes. Glutathione acts as a SUPER antioxidant in your body. That means it helps combat free radicals. These are molecules that can damage your body's cells. Glutathione is involved in tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body, and in immune system function. People take glutathione for aging, alcohol use disorder, liver diseaseheart disease, and many other conditions. Glutathione plays a role in many chemical reactions in your body. It also helps detoxify chemicals, including some that your body creates naturally, as well as pollutants and drugs.

Certain factors such as age and a weakened immune system cause your body to produce less glutathione. Other causes for the decrease in production of glutathione, are alcohol consumption, poor diet, lack of exercise, certain medications, and certain medical conditions, which many of us struggle with daily.

The Super Benefits of Glutathione

  • Aging: Glutathione is a key component in the continuous regeneration of healthy skin. The protein can regulate skin pigment, improve elasticity, and reduce wrinkles. Glutathione may also reduce the effects of psoriasis.  It increases collagen production which results in younger, firmer-looking skin. It can also help fade dark spots from the sun or acne scarring.

  • Glutathione injections are a safe and reliable way to help with weight loss and other medical conditions. Glutathione helps with weight loss because it helps your body shift from fat production to muscle development. It also helps your body burn off fat cells, and it helps your liver remove toxins both of which lead to losing weight.

    ·                Immune Booster: In addition to helping with weight loss, glutathione has important benefits to your overall health. It helps improve your body’s liver and immune function which helps prevent you from getting sick.

    ·                Anti-inflammatory: It also improves sleep, memory, muscle recovery, and fights inflammation too. Inflammatory conditions include acne, eczema, rosacea.

Other benefits include:

  • Antioxidant activity
  • ·       Preventing cancer progression
  • ·       Reducing cell damage in liver disease
  • ·       Decreasing blood sugar (glucose) levels
  • ·       Reducing the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease
  • ·       Reducing ulcerative colitis damage
  • ·       Treating autism spectrum disorders
  • ·       Reducing the side effects of chemotherapy treatments for cancer
  • ·       Improves brain function
  • ·       Promotes GI and liver detoxification
  • ·       Repair cells

Glutathione Deficiency

The only way to test for a glutathione deficiency is through routine bloodwork. If you think you have a glutathione deficiency, contact your healthcare provider. Symptoms of a glutathione deficiency can include exhaustion, regularly getting sick, and anemia. If left untreated, a glutathione deficiency can lead to coronary heart disease. Even if you are not deficient in glutathione, you can still see benefits from a glutathione injection.

Sources of Glutathione

In addition to your body’s natural production, glutathione is also found in certain foods. Spinach, avocados, kale, and okra are all naturally high sources of glutathione. Other foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, and garlic contain sulfur which helps promote glutathione production in your body. Another mineral called selenium, found in fish, cottage cheese, and beef, also promotes healthy levels of glutathione.

Why Glutathione Injections or IV therapy?

Glutathione is poorly absorbed when taken orally and has very little effect. Therefore, glutathione IV therapy administration is highly recommended but if you don’t have 20 minutes to an hour for an IV, you can get a quick IM shot. Injections are the fastest way to achieve results. This is because your body absorbs glutathione injections easier than it absorbs supplements, topical creams, or even dietary sources. Glutathione supplements are the most difficult to digest. It is believed that your body breaks it down into enzymes in your stomach, and therefore you do not receive many of the benefits. Topical creams that contain glutathione are generally only used to treat skin conditions.

Side Effects

There are very few side effects and no downtime associated with glutathione injections. In some cases, people who take glutathione long-term have lower zinc levels in their bodies. If you are concerned about this, you can monitor your zinc level through routine bloodwork.

You may also experience some redness or soreness around the injection area. Occasionally, people experience a rash, or allergic reaction to the injection as well. If you are allergic to sulfur, glutathione is not recommended. In terms of downtime, there are no restrictions after having a glutathione injection, you are free to resume all your normal activities. In fact, many people experience an additional boost of energy almost right away.
