What are you willing to do to get fit?

If there were a magic pill then everyone would be superfine like we see it in our minds. But since it is not, the only thing that is proven the test of time to getting superfine is eating healthy, exercising and getting enough rest. One of my clients wrote in her journal this week. It’s time for me to get serious about my health and stop all this yo-yo dieting. Another client said, “This is the first time in my life that I have worked out a consecutive 5 days without quitting”.  We all have a story we can journal about when it comes to health and fitness, the question is, “What are you willing to do to get fit?”

Are you willing to put your health at risk by talking harmful pills or shots?  Or going under the knife and putting your body at risk for dysfunctions, disfigurement or possibly death? Or are you willing to take the hard road to results by sacrificing your time, changing you eating habits and investing in your health? For every choice we make there is a consequence good or bad. It’s up to you and only you to make that decision.

If your significant other said he would get you anything you wanted for Mother’s Day, your birthday or anniversary, would you tell him Tadda’s Fitness Camp for 6 weeks instead of a purse, etc? Or would you work a 12 hour shift at night, catch the bus from work, do a full hour of TFC then catch the bus home? If you broke your foot would you and was placed in a boot, would you continue with the bootcamp? These are three examples of new clients and what they are willing to do to get fit.  They are true examples of the saying, “where there is a WILL there is a WAY!”

We give more excuses than a little bit and it’s time to stop having pity parties about our health and or our size.  Have one last cry, wipe your eyes, eat one last chip then throw the rest away.  This is year to stop talking about it and be about it.

So if being healthy and fit is what you want, get in the starting blocks of life, get ready, set and go.  If you’re going to try, put in the time and go all the way.  Otherwise, there’s no point in starting.  This could mean losing stability and comfort for a while, and maybe even your mind on occasion. You will experience soreness that will make you think twice about why you started.  It will mean not eating what you’re used to, for weeks on end.  It could mean stretching your comfort zone so thin it gives you a nonstop case of the chills.  It could mean sacrificing relationships and all that’s familiar and it could mean accepting ridicule from your peers.  Everything else is a test of your determination, of how much you really want it.

And if you want it, you’ll do it, despite failures, injuries or setbacks.   And every step will feel better than anything else you can imagine.  You will realize that the struggle is not found on the path, it is the path.  And it’s worth it!  So if you’re going to try, go all the way.  There’s no better feeling in the world… there’s no better feeling than knowing what it means to be ALIVE, healthy and fit.   No Mess
